I and Pod

After so long while since the implementation of the iPod into our lives, I've finally embraced the culture (or cult, if you prefer.) of the iPod. It has been such a long wait for me, prolly 'cos of money-wise as well. In the past, before I received 'peanuts' from a certain government body, my little old allowance just couldn't hold out a iPod on its own. I also didn't wanna get a few hundred from my parents just for an Mp3 player. Besides, it's an 'I'Pod, besides the point that it has songs customised to your taste, I suppose I wanna get it on my own as well.

So goes the process of saving through the shells and nuts that I've been getting. Well, it was moving along quite well, considering the 500+ smackeroos per month, and the few hundred which an iPod would cost, the ratio was still pretty well in the comfortable range. But that means forgoing a new handphone, which is okie since I'm very contented with my Nokia 6100, with its white-now-turned-a-little-grey Bleach soul globe -_- hanging off the top right hand corner. Haha! Yep, I would prefer an iPod to another 3G or whatever handphone. Oh, and the wonderful iPod Video was born. I could almost seen it in my hands already. But the price then was, erm... pretty steep? Yep, and there goes the wait.

So comes the 6th of June, finally, my trusty old discman left my stage and allowed the brand new iPod to take center-stage. *applause* I went foraging through the prices from the stores in Far East Plaza and Lucky Plaza. I've got a friend who recommended a shop in Far East Plaza, 'cos I think that's where he bought his. But I decided to check out Lucky Plaza as well.

And guess what? I've gotten a price that's $50 lower than that offered in Far East Plaza, which is already $60 lower than the official price. Luckily I did just get it on impulse at the initial planned location, could have offset me 50 bucks. I would be like from =) ----> )= Phew...

Anyway, if you are wondering why I didn't bother going where everyone who wants techie stuff would flock to. Well, I can just say, it's just me. I don't really like the place. So many different stores harbouring so many con-vincing artists. Nah, I'll pass. I feel more comfortable being in town.

Right, my brand new iPod is my latest and I think so far, physical luxury possession. After a couple days, I've finally all my songs, music, osts inside this little metal casing le. Yesh, it is ready. And 'cos I went to dig up the older songs to put inside, I must say, it's been a while since I've listened to such classics and it's a nice feeling. haha!

Had a good laugh when I was installing iTunes, the program which works together with the iPod. The slogan goes like this, 'iPod and iTunes. Born to be together.' It even comes with a picture of a hugging smiling couple. -_-"' Geex... Come on, it's just a program. This kind of exaggeration and association is just too hilarious. Lol.

Okie, this is a boring entry, I know, I know. But I'll be writing more interesting topics soon. Keep in touch, people!
